    Brian Pokorny and his team were terrific to work with from start to finish! They provided samples for us to look at during our first in person meeting. The flooring was selected, purchased and personally delivered by Brian and his team. We used a different installation team which Brian knew about ahead of time but was very willing to supply just the product for us. Brian went above and beyond for us and we would work with him over and over again. Thank you for a great first time experience!

    Very grateful to Brian and his expertise. Brian is very personable and easy to work with. He was able to provide a variety of samples that showcased many wonderful solutions to replacing old shag carpeting. His suggestions were very helpful and practical. I can't say enough about the customer service. It was a unique project, but Brian was willing to accommodate the particular needs of this project. I recommend Floor Coverings International to anyone!

    Contracted with this company to recarpet two bedrooms in a newly purchased condo after being repeatedly contacted by Mr. Pokorny, (who evidently actively follows Angi to see who is looking for services.) The sales rep was extremely helpful and assured me the carpet would be available for the proposed Jul 28 (Monday) install. I called on Jul 25 to confirm after not hearing from them. Was told the carpet was "in the city but not in the warehouse." We agreed on a Jul 31 install after assurances that everything would be good to go. Workers were to arrive between 8:30 and 10. At 9:30 I received a call that "the truck had broken down." At 11:00, two workers showed up with the carpet but not all the tools needed to professionally install carpet. They joked about my job being dropped from the schedule. They asked me to go buy them lunch (which I did) and finished about 3:30. I've attached pictures of a noticeable seam in one of the bedrooms. On August 21st, they sent out another installer to fix the seam. He arrived at 8:30 and "had to go" about 11:30. The seam actually was worse when he was finished. Before he left though, he asked for my phone number "in case I ever just wanted to talk sometime." The supervisor (?) came in a bit later, looked at the work, and simply said, "we will do whatever it takes to make this right." That was over a week ago, and I've heard nothing since. Initially, Mr. Pokerny expressed what I believed to be genuine concern for the lack of basic customer service I received and the "misleading" information. He took about 5% off my bill. I honestly don't know how this company continues to exist and I'm curious about only 5-star Google reviews. (I relied on these reviews when I chose the company.) Maybe I don't warrant the same level of customer service others have apparently received because I am a female senior citizen. I sincerely hope this isn't the case.

    I recently bought a condo in need of minor renovation, including new carpet in two bedrooms. I was initially so impressed by the service I received when the rep came out to measure and help me select new carpet, but I am disappointed in FCI's lack of follow through. After installation on the date promised was confirmed, I learned only after calling them the afternoon before that there were "supply issues" and the installation would not happen the next day. Had I not called, I would not have known. We set a subsequent date, and on the morning they were to arrive between 8 and 9, I got a call saying the truck had "broken down." About 10:30, two workers arrived, and they implied that my job had been "dropped from the schedule." They didn't have everything they needed to install the carpet properly. They asked me (and I gladly accommodated) their request for lunch from McDonalds. To be fair, they apparently weren't expecting to be working my install that day. The installation went fairly well overall, except for one very noticeable seam across the middle of one room, which I was assured could and would be fixed. I was called on a Sunday night after 8 pm and asked if I could be at the property at 8:30 the next morning, which I couldn't as movers would be at my other residence. I've never received another call back. I initially offered feedback to Mr. Pokerny about the lack of coordination and follow through. He kindly refunded the 3% fee the "bank" charges for credit card use and gave me a small discount on the remainder of the bill which I paid by check. I don't know if the employees are just plain overscheduled, or if they are having issues hiring workers, but at some point customers' needs and customer service should be as important as the company's other needs.

    I recently worked with Floor Coverings International to install new carpet flooring in my bedrooms as well as to refinish the hardwood floors in the other rooms. The installation process was seamless, and the finished product looks amazing. Also, the hardwood floors look like brand new. What's equally great is the team was professional, efficient, and knowledgeable from start to end. Highly recommend this company for anyone looking to upgrade or restore their floors!

    Brian and his team were fantastic to work with! They had plenty of options to choose from and were able to make an awkwardly sized/shaped space work perfectly with some carpeting. They were super efficient. Highly recommend for any flooring needs!

    They came to my house with samples. They have a great selection of flooring. They showed up when they said they would show up, and when they had a glitch, they fixed the problem before I knew about it. The floor is beautiful.

    Brian and Chuck and the team were great, not only were they extremely responsive but they were able to put us on the schedule within the week and got the job done beautifully. Brian also found us a great flooring option that was in stock so we didn’t have to wait to install. They responded to every request we had and sent photos of the job since we weren’t onsite. A smooth and pleasant experience start to finish, I would definitely recommend them!
