Had water damage from ice dams this winter. My wife loved the upstairs carpet that FCI installed 4 years ago so much that she wanted them back to do the exact same thing again. Downstairs got an engineered flooring update with an absolute 1st class installation. Owner Steve is involved every step of the way.

From the first meeting to the final walk through , I was thrilled with every aspect of my experience with Steve and his fantastic team of installers . Being able to look through samples at home was so convenient . The whole process was so quick - the quote, scheduling the install and the actual installation . The team was phenomenal. They were so neat, efficient , and detail oriented . They took such loving care of our space. The floor looks amazing . Every inch and every corner is perfect !

Just before the holidays, my wife and I discovered an unexpected water leak in our great room. Within 30 minutes, nearly 50 gallons of water had pooled on the floor, leaving a large section of boards damaged. Steve was the first to return our call and schedule an on-site consultation. He spent about 45 minutes with us, walking the room, checking the wood, and inspecting for any additional issues. He then provided a fair, realistic quote for the work. Even though we felt good about his proposal, we decided to do our due diligence and get a few more estimates before making a final decision. In hindsight, I’m not sure why we bothered. Steve’s quote was far and away the most competitive when it came to price, expertise, and overall value. He even suggested we wait a few weeks before signing an agreement in case the wood returned to its original shape. The day before the job was scheduled to begin, my wife and I discovered another section of wood that, unbeknownst to us, also needed to be replaced. When Steve arrived to deliver the materials, he walked the area with us and provided a revised quote based on the additional time and effort required from his crew, still at a fair rate. On the day of the job, his team got right to work. Within six hours, the original floor was sanded flush, the damaged boards were replaced, and the first coat of protection had been applied. They also checked for any mold or other issues that might have resulted from the water intrusion. Three days later, the final coat was applied, the job was complete, and the crew left the area spotless. You would never know his team had been working in our home for those three days. When we received the final invoice, I was pleasantly surprised to see that even with the additional area that needed replacement, the job came in under budget. I will strongly recommend Floor Coverings International to anyone who is looking to have their floors installed, replaced, or refinished. The attention to detail, the timeliness of the work, and the professionalism shown by the owner and the staff was phenomenal.

Steve was quick to respond and describe what he had in stock, and his crew was able to start a few days later which kept us ahead of our timeline. The crew was respectful of our time and did the work as if it was in their own homes. We had an excellent experience!

We chose FCI to install carpet and tile. Great experience from the beginning discussions with Steve to excellent high quality craftsman work from the team. Always in communication along the way, high quality work done as expected, on time and reasonable price. We were on some tight timelines with many other moving parts and they delivered!
